Two of my favourite eras for fashion are the 1940s and 1950s. The clothes and people had a long lost glamour and elegance that is complete captured by the range available at Tara Starlet. All the garments are limited edition and include everything from full skirt prom dresses to sexy bombshell numbers. Here is a selection of my favourite items.
As you can see the pure pin-up glamour is incredible. Keep an eye out for discounts and sales as well as they come up quite regularly. So, if your style is inspired by the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, quiff and bouffant your hair and show 2011 what true glamour is.

To infinity and Beyond Retro
One of the best pieces of news I have ever heard is that my favourite vintage store Beyond Retro now has an online shop. In my opinion Beyond Retro is the most reasonably priced and well stocked vintage retailer around and I have picked up some amazing pieces in there before including my much-loved fur coat. Needless to say it will be very dangerous to my bank account now that I have 24/7 access to this treasure trove of dreams! I've already bought an incredible 1980s knitted jumper dress which was only £15 plus postage and packaging (about £3). One word of caution, however, when ordering anything like this online - make sure you have a tape measure to hand as sizes over the years have fluctuated so much you have to measure to ensure it will fit you. Luckily, Beyond Retro have very good descriptions of all their products. Here are some of my favourite things that are on there right now.
and if you fancy a good old fashioned rummage Beyond Retro have stores in Soho, Brick Lane and Brighton.
